2025 was a fantastic year for movies in my opinion. Especially Horror. This year I saw 123 releases from 2025. So 73 Films didn't make the cut for the top 50.
Some surprises this year. We got the final Mission Impossible film come out (which is a series I love) and it didn't even make my top 50. Also while I loved Sinners and it ranked fairly high, the hype definitely hurt this one for me. I'm curious to see how it fairs when I see it again without the hype attached.
3 Different Directors had 2 Films in my Top 50. Scott Derrikson took 2 spots. Stephen Soderbergh claimed 2 spots. Then Osgood Perkins took 2 spots in my Top 10!
A couple criminally unseen movies made my list. Marshmallow and 40 Acres. Completely ignored but I thought they were excellent.
