2021. Another rough year for us and for theatrical movies. Once again, you really had to check out streaming and VOD to find the hidden gems. I saw a total of 94 new releases this year. A quarter of that was just in December as I tried to binge all the flicks I missed out on. My hope for 2022 is to watch new releases as they come out so its not a mad dash to see them at the end of the year. Since I had 94 flicks to rank, I felt like doing a top 50 unlike last year when I stuck to 30. Some of my stuff near the top are ones I know people were divided on but they really worked for me personally. 2 surprises for me with flicks I was looking forward to was how low The Matrix ended up for me although I did like it. Also CANDYMAN didnt even make my top 50. Would not have guessed that would happen. But without further delay, for the 5 people that look at my Top Films each year....
